Ruby Wragg

Ruby Wragg is a 17 year old local musician who sings and plays guitar. She often accompanies herself with a loop pedal, using it to layer guitar tracks and create vocal harmonies.

Ballan Kyokushin Karate

Ballan Kyokushin Karate is open to all ages we are about encouraging fitness discipline health and well being.

You’ll be impressed with their moves – check out the demo on the main stage at 10:00am.

Ballarat Rockers

Ballarat Rockers evolved in 1994 and their charter is to promote and foster Rock and Roll in the community.

They proudly donate surplus to operating costs to worthwhile causes throughout the community and happy to promote the benefits of dance through events such as The Ballan Autumn Festival anytime they are available.

Lee-Ann is a 15yo aspiring singer-guitarist. Self-taught and with a serious dream to be the next “Voice” from Australia, Lee-Ann started busking in Victorian country towns like Ballan and Sunbury in December 2017. And with much encouragement from the people who have heard her sing, she has taken her guitar to the city streets in Melbourne.

On 18 March, Lee-Ann will be performing live on the Ballan Autumn Festival main stage at 10:40AM!

Lilac Moon Tai Chi Group Demonstration

Originating in China, Tai Chi is the practice of slow meditative physical exercise designed for relaxation, balance and health.

The Lilac Moon Tai Chi School is based in Trentham. Chief Instructor and founder Patricia Kent has more than 30 years’ experience and regularly runs classes in Trentham, Ballan, Kyneton and Meredith. The Lilac Moon Tai Chi also has a local instructor at the Ballan Community House.

Instruction at the Lilac Moon Tai Chi School focus on the traditional styles of Yang, Wu and Sun. Some of the forms include the standardised Yang 24, 42 Competition Style, Wu 121, Sun 78 and Wu Broadsword, Yang 32 and 42 sword forms and the Mulan Fan Form to name a few.

Classes in Ballan run on Tuesday morning from 9-10am and Thursday evenings from 7-8pm.

Ballarat Scottish Country Dance Group

The Ballarat Scottish Country Dance Group will be performing a selection of popular Scottish Country dances.

This is a social form of dancing primarily for pleasure.

It is popular worldwide and suitable for both the young and the not so young.

The Group actively encourages all enquiries and new beginners are warmly welcomed.

Our 2018 main stage is provided by Event Stage Hire. They provide outdoor mobile stages for hire with a range of stage sizes available to suit a small presentation function to a full-on rock band!
